The staggering statistics from 2023, where over 359,000 dogs and 330,000 cats were euthanized in U.S. animal shelters, underscore the urgency of our work. Savanna founded this rescue to provide support to local shelters operating at capacity, while also saving dogs from out-of-state shelters that are mere days or hours away from euthanasia.
